How does a swim diaper work..?

Did you know that swim pants and nappies are not absorbent like a regular diapers? They're only really designed to hold in solids! Any liquids are passed into the water and are not considered damaging to health (as long as the pool is sufficiently chlorinated). So, unlike regular diapers, neither disposbale nor reusable swim diapers "swell" when wet. Just to be safe, it's a good idea to make sure that your swim diaper has a plastic layer or backing. This comes as standard in the case of single use diapers - but with cloth swim diapers, you may want to double check and if necessary, purchase a separate plastic cover
