Staged Baby Spoons for Every Feeding Milestone

Beaba's silicone spoon range is designed around your baby's developmental stages, from first tastes through to independent self-feeding. The 1st Stage Silicone Spoons (available as a single spoon, a 2-pack with case, or a 4-pack set) have a soft, shallow tip suited to those very first purees, while the 2nd Stage Silicone Spoons feature a slightly deeper bowl for babies moving on to thicker textures and self-feeding attempts.

For softening the transition to real cutlery, Beaba's Silicone Pre-Spoons and Stainless Steel Pre-Cutlery bridge the gap between first spoons and grown-up utensils, easing baby toward independent eating.

Food Feeders for Fresh Fruit and Veg

Haakaa's Fresh Food Feeder lets your baby safely explore fresh fruits, vegetables, and even frozen items by mesh, without the choking risk of loose pieces — simply fill, seal, and let your baby chew and suck the food through the mesh. Haakaa's Silicone Baby Food Dispensing Spoon and Generation 3 Silicone Feeding Spoon Bottle offer a similar squeeze-to-dispense approach, useful for parents wanting more control over portion size during early feeds.

Toddler Cutlery for Independent Eating

As your child moves toward independent eating, our toddler cutlery range covers both everyday and on-the-go needs. Beaba's Toddler Cutlery Sets are available in both ergonomic silicone and stainless steel, plus a compact Travel Toddler Cutlery set for eating out. We Might Be Tiny's Feedie Fork & Spoon Set and Skip Hop's Besties Squad Fork & Spoon Set offer playful alternatives, while Little Eli's Kids Cutlery Set rounds out the range for slightly older kids ready for a more grown-up cutlery style.

Free delivery is included on all orders over $99, with fast dispatch across Australia.

FAQs

What's the difference between 1st Stage and 2nd Stage spoons?

1st Stage spoons, like Beaba's, have a shallow, soft tip designed for very first purees around 4 months, while 2nd Stage spoons have a slightly deeper bowl suited to thicker textures and babies starting to self-feed, typically from around 8 months.

How does a food feeder work?

A food feeder, like the Haakaa Fresh Food Feeder, has a mesh or silicone pouch that you fill with fresh or frozen food. Your baby chews and sucks on the outside, extracting small, safe amounts of food without the choking risk of loose pieces — useful for introducing new flavours and easing teething discomfort.

When should I move from baby spoons to toddler cutlery?

Most children transition to toddler cutlery, like Beaba's ergonomic sets, somewhere between 12 and 18 months, once they're showing interest in feeding themselves and have the coordination to hold a spoon or fork more purposefully.

Is silicone or stainless steel better for baby cutlery?

Silicone cutlery is softer and gentler on developing gums and teeth, making it a popular first choice, while stainless steel options, like Beaba's Pre-Cutlery and Toddler Cutlery Set, are more durable for older toddlers who've moved past the teething stage.

Can I put silicone spoons and feeders in the dishwasher?

Most silicone feeding items in our range, including Beaba's spoon sets and Haakaa's feeders, are dishwasher safe — check the specific product listing to confirm care instructions.
