A dedicated bassinet mattress sheet matters more than it might seem bassinet mattresses are a different size and shape to a full cot mattress, so a proper fitted sheet keeps everything snug and reduces the risk of loose fabric bunching up during sleep. Many of our bassinet sheets double as change pad covers too, so one purchase covers two nursery essentials.

Beyond individual sheets, our broader kiddies bedding and bedding childrens range includes Childhome's Tipi Bed Cover, for adding a playful, tent-style touch to an older child's bed once they've moved on from a cot.

Every sheet in our range is organic cotton, machine washable, and designed for genuine everyday nursery use not just nursery styling. Free delivery is included on all orders over $99, with fast dispatch across Australia.

FAQs

What's the difference between a cot sheet and a bassinet sheet?
A cot sheet is fitted to a standard cot mattress, while a bassinet sheet is sized specifically for the smaller mattress used in a bassinet or Moses basket. Using the correctly sized sheet matters for a safe, snug fit rather than loose fabric that could bunch up during sleep.

How many cot sheets or bassinet sheets do I need?
Most parents find 2-3 fitted sheets useful in rotation, since babies (and their sheets) go through a lot of changes — one on the bed, one in the wash, and a spare for middle-of-the-night changes.

Are organic cot sheets worth it over standard cotton?
Organic cotton sheets are grown without synthetic pesticides and are often softer and more breathable, which some parents prefer for sensitive newborn skin though standard cotton sheets that meet safety standards are also a perfectly safe choice.

Can I use a cot sheet on a bassinet, or do I need a separate one?
No — cot mattresses and bassinet mattresses are different sizes, so a cot sheet won't fit a bassinet properly. Always use a sheet sized specifically for the mattress you have to avoid loose fabric, which is a safe-sleep risk.

Are these sheets machine washable?
Yes — all the cot and bassinet sheets in our range are machine washable, making it easy to keep up with the frequent changes a newborn's sleep set-up needs.
