Is the Ergobaby Aura Wrap hard to use, and can I put it on by myself?
The wrap is the carrier style that intimidates most parents before they try it and the Aura is specifically designed to make the learning curve as gentle as possible. Unlike traditional wraps that require complicated tying and layering, the Aura can be pre-tied before you pick up your baby, meaning it is already secured around your body when you go to pop baby in. Colour-coded seams guide you through the tying process so there is no guesswork about which layer goes where. Most parents feel confident with a pre-tie by their third or fourth attempt, and Ergobaby provides step-by-step video tutorials for every carry position that make the process much more intuitive than written instructions alone. The Aura can absolutely be put on solo pre-tying is a solo activity, and loading baby once the wrap is on is also manageable independently with practice. The Aura is newborn-ready from 3.2kg with no infant insert needed, suitable up to approximately 11.3kg, and is made from a slightly stretchy knit fabric available in OEKO-TEX certified Tencel Lyocell — a naturally breathable, temperature-regulating material that is significantly cooler than standard cotton, making it one of the better wrap choices for Australian conditions. One important note: the Aura is a front-carry-only wrap outward facing and back carry are not recommended with this product, as these positions require a structured carrier designed specifically for those modes

TICKS rules for safe babywearing

Tight – enough to hold your baby close to you
In view at all times – you should always be able to see your baby’s face
Close enough to kiss – you should be able to reach the top of your baby’s head to kiss it
Keep chin off chest – make sure your baby’s chin is up and away from their body
Supported back – your baby’s back should be supported in a natural position with its tummy and chest against you

Important/Warning/Caution: Babies under 4 months can suffocate in this product if their face is pressed tight against your body. Keep baby’s face free from obstructions at all times
